Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root “Yuj”, which means to yoke, join or attach. Yoga is considered as practices that help to facilitate the inner harmony in individuals and bring union between body and the mind in the individuals self and the beauty of life all around us.
It was curiosity that first brought Dharna to yoga, and it was in 2005, that she was introduced to Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Dharna was fascinated by this fluid intense, precise and demanding practice. Rocket Yoga was an added bonus to her teacher training.
The Yoga truth – Your body is perfect just the way it is for practicing yoga! We hear so many times that people can’t practice yoga because they aren’t flexible, aren’t strong, are too big or too small and the list goes on. The reality is a yoga body doesn’t look like a particular body. If you have a body, you can practice yoga.
Dharna YOGA holds regular yoga instruction classes in Montpon-Ménestérol and the surrounding areas. Other locations in Dordogne and further afield are available upon request. All ages, abilities and nationalities are welcome. Dharna YOGA teaches groups and private individuals. This could be yoga classes hosted in a château or a salle des fêtes. These are now becoming popular venues for special events and team building activities.
